Botlhale Tshetlo is the founder of Hairtural and the creator of the Scalp & Hair Profile™ framework.

Her work sits at the intersection of scalp science, product formulation, and system thinking. After more than a decade in the natural hair industry, she observed a recurring pattern: most hair concerns are not caused by damage alone, but by prolonged product mismatch - products and routines that do not align with an individual's scalp and hair biology.

Botlhale launched Hairtural in 2014, followed by Autum, a speciality retail store for natural hair products. These ventures gave her rare, end-to-end insight into how people choose products, how scalps respond over time, and why "for all hair types" solutions often fail.

​

She has shared ides as a two-time TEDx speaker, exploring themes of hair, identity, and kindness - ideas that continue to inform her approach to hair and scalp care.

Originally trained in economics, Botlhale began her career in financial markets before a health-led career pause prompted a return to creativity and entrepreneurship. 

​

In 2023, she completed her trichology studies through the International Association of Trichologists (IAT). Today, her work has evolved from clinical intervention to  scalp & hair  profiling: helping people understand their scalp and hair profile so they can make informed, compatible choices long before imbalance becomes a diagnosis.

She is based in Johannesburg, South Africa
